எல்.இ.டி. LED விளக்காக மாற்றினால்

                                

            தமிழ் நாட்டில் ஒவொரு மின்பாவனையாளரும் ஒரு 60 உவட் பல்ப்பை ஒரு 6.5 உவட் எல்.இ.டி. LED விளக்காக மாற்றினால், வருடத்திற்கு 1.27 மிலியன் தொன் காரபொன் ஈர் ஒக்ஸ்யட் கரியமில வாயு CO2 வெளியேற்றத்தை தடுக்கலாம். இப்படம் ஒவொரு பெருள் ஒரு மணி நேர பாவனையால் வெளியேற்றப்படும் கரியமில வாயுத் தொகையைக் குறிக்கும். இச் செய்கை மின் தட்டுப்பாட்டையும் குறைக்கும். ஒருவருடத்தில் 1,267,280 தொன் கரியமில வாயு வெளியேற்றத்தைக் குறைக்கும்.

IF all this was supplied by this GT then 700 M liters/year of Diesel will be saved.. Saving in changing to one LED lamp is about INDRs 1,400 M/year at today's diesel Price. Savings information based on 2 Crors consumers in TN. This is almost 1,267,280 Tons of CO2 saved/year. Power cut also can be reduced.-- - If every Sri Lankan household replaced just one standard 60 Watt bulb with a 6.5 Watt LED bulb, 265 MW at peak time which is 1060 MWh/day can be reduced. This is almost 4 GWh/year of less Generation. At peak time Generation cost in 2010 from Gas turbine plants which is operated on Diesel was said to be SLRs 34.62/kWh, Consuming almost 0.45 liters/kWh. If all this was supplied by this GT then 1.8 M liters of L.A.D will be saved. (A total of 12 M liters of L.A.D were used by the Small GT). Saving in changing to one LED lamp in each house is about SLRs.217 M/year at today’s diesel price. National savings information based on 4 M households with an average use of 4 hrs per day during the night peak time. This will reduce about 250 thousand tons of CO2 emission/year
